DJI Matrice M30 drone – the new enterprise model

To ensure the necessary features and capabilities of the new DJI M30 industrial drone, manufacturer DJI has worked closely with public safety teams and infrastructure inspection teams over the years. This drone is built with expert insights and feedback from thousands of flight hours. As always, DJI always surprises with innovation when releasing new drone models. The DJI Matrice 30 drone is a great example of this. 03/21/2022 DJI has unveiled a new model, the DJI M30, a smaller version of the DJI Matrice 300 drone that is on par with its predecessor.

From quick setup to compatibility with the new DJI Dock, here are nine features that make the DJI M30 drone innovative and perfect for public safety and facility inspections.

High performance of the DJI M30 drone

The DJI M30 is a customizable platform with flagship-level payload options, the M30 and M30T.

The standard DJI M30 drone has a hybrid video/laser rangefinder payload consisting of a 48MP zoom camera and a 12MP wide-angle camera. Both cameras have ½-inch CMOS sensors and can shoot 4K 30 FPS video. Both models also feature an improved FPV camera that offers improved detail in low light, allowing pilots to clearly see obstacles ahead during night flights.

A laser rangefinder provides clarity in challenging environments with precise measurements and PinPoint location data. It has a detection range of 3-1200m and an accuracy of ±0.2m+D × 0.15%.

The M30T has all the features listed above, as well as a built-in thermal camera that matches the capabilities of the DJI Zenmuse H20T. The camera has a resolution of 640*512@30Hz and a temperature measurement accuracy of ±2℃.

Exemplary flight performance

Reducing the size of the drone usually results in some performance limitations, for example to reduce weight and increase the mobility of the drone. The DJI M30 is an exception to this rule with exemplary performance statistics. Despite weighing half the weight of the DJI Matrice 300 drone, the M30 has a flight time of 41 minutes, a maximum flight speed of 23 m/s, a maximum takeoff/landing speed of 7 m/s, and stability in winds of up to 15 m/s.

Don’t be fooled by the small size of the drone. The M30 is an impressively powerful platform with a long flight time and high performance specifications to make the most demanding missions even easier.

The mobile DJI Enterprise is an industrial drone platform

Many inspections and public safety operations require pilots to be quick on their feet and fly from multiple locations during a single mission. Portability is everything in these scenarios.

One of the main criteria for using drones is mobility. The drone must be light and compact in size to allow missions to run smoothly and to be able to quickly react and launch the drone.

Weighing just 3.77kg, the DJI M30 drone is lightweight and easy to carry. When folded, the DJI Matrice 30 is compact enough to fit in a backpack and easily transport on foot.

You can do much more with drones

Unmanned aerial vehicles, otherwise known as drones, have already become an indispensable aid in Lithuania for professionals in the film industry, aerial cartography, inspection, monitoring, inventory and many other fields.
